ARISEPLAY MOVIEBOX is an opportunity for movie producers, directors and distributors to give their productions extensive visibility across a vast Nigerian audience (over 200m people). ARISE Media Group is the largest media organisation in the country spanning news print, television and an extensive social media presence. Furthermore, our collaboration with MTN, the largest telecommunications network in Nigeria, gives us the added leverage to guarantee a strong presence in the market for the content on our network.

By submitting your content on the ARISEPLAY MOVIEBOX we will guarantee the execution of a robust market awareness campaign for your production(s) across ARISE Media Group’s network, in return for a global, non-exclusive 12-month feature on the ARISEPLAY streaming platform, if your content is selected. Submitting your content on the MOVIEBOX is no guarantee that it will feature on the streaming platform. All content submitted through MOVIEBOX is made available to our audience at the sole discretion of the ARISEPLAY Content Review Team. See our terms and conditions below.

2. Access to a circulation and readership audience of up to 50m Nigerians, diasporans, policy makers and industry leaders – boosted by our partnership with MTN, which adds over 80m eyeballs to our coverage

3.Access to a television audience of over 100m in Nigeria and abroad as ARISE TV enters all major hotels and franchises in Dubai and ARISEPLAY TV is launched.

Your exclusive marketing campaign will include:

1. 1 week feature on our news print, TV channels and on the group’s, social media channels – every 3 months

2. Feature on our websites (ARISE; THISDAY; ARISEPLAY) for 6 months

3. This include the creation of all marketing collateral and TV trailers based on the content that you submit to us

This equates to a marketing spend of up to N20m (c.US$ 40,000) This publishing offer is valid on a global, non-exclusive basis for a minimum period of 12 months. There is no licensing fee payable to the movie owner; producer; writer; or cast member or any person(s) or organisation(s) associated with the production of the movie/film content, in any shape or form. ARISEPLAY bears no liability for any legal injunctions that may occur as a result of your movie’s selection for feature on the ARISEPLAY platform. Your movie would immediately be removed from the ARISEPLAY platform should any legal injunction by any third parties be brought to our notice.

This is how customers will be able to identify and search for your title. The title name must be displayed on your graphic assets exactly as it's entered in this field.
This indicates the type of programming and usually corresponds to its duration (like movie, short film, educational, or clips). If your content doesn't fall into one our defined categories, the content is ineligible for submission via ARISEPLAY MOVIEBOX.
This is the language of the Title Name, synopsis, and title details. Available locations are based on the metadata language you select when adding a title.
This is a short description of your title, what it's about, and how to describe it. The Synopsis is presented to customers when they view the title detail page so it’s best to make it both informative and interesting.
Genres help viewers know the stylistic format they can expect (like science fiction, comedy, or drama). We also use them in search, personalisation, and categorisation of content. Note: ARISEPLAY may add or remove genres to improve discoverability.
The most significant factor to consider when determining the country of origin of a work is the place of establishment of the production company (or companies).
Regulators or organisations in each marketplace create ratings criteria for movies and TV shows, however if your title is not officially rated, you must select
A minimum of one crew member must be added, but we recommend that you also enter at least key actors for improved search discoverability on ARISEPLAY. If you're publishing a movie or TV show, then you must provide a director.

Add any art that we will use to represent your title on ARISEPLAY. Key art is required in two aspect ratios for episodic and standalone titles and must display your exact title name.
You can select which territories and how you want to make your title available to our customers (remember, eligible locations depend on the metadata language you selected when adding your title).
List any current exclusivities or agreements associated with your movie
List any other platforms that carry your movie or specify if it’s new content
Have you entered your movie for any awards or has it received any nominations/ awards?

Our Terms and Conditions

Publishing Consideration and Title Review

All content submitted through ARISEPLAY MOVIEBOX is made available to our audience at the sole discretion of the ARISEPLAY Content Review Team. Submission of your content doesn’t guarantee that your title will be published by a given date or selected for promotion.

Discretionary decisions regarding the content on our platform may be made at any time. We reserve the right to decide which ones to approve for publishing.

Publishing consideration
ARISEPLAY MOVIEBOX is a curated service, and we’re constantly refreshing our content offering and selection for customers. On signing the MOVIEBOX marketing agreement, your content is published at NO COST to ARISEPLAY and will be available on the platform globally for 12 months.  It is not published indefinitely. While this is a standard 12-month agreement your content may be removed at any time at the sole discretion of ARISEPLAY for reasons that include breaking of our marketing rules as published.

We understand that you have invested a lot in your content and once selected, we will provide you with strong visibility across our marketing channels to. We generally publish professionally produced, short form content, feature-length movies and TV shows that have been produced to a high standard, theatrically released, broadcast, or selected by a major film festival. Even if a title has one or more of these attributes, ARISEPLAY may still choose not to publish it. Conversely, ARISEPLAY may choose to publish a limited number of titles that haven’t been in theatres, broadcast, or selected by a major festival.

Please note submission of your content doesn’t guarantee that your title will be selected for publication by a given date.

Post-publishing consideration

After a title is selected for publishing, we continuously review performance metrics and viewing behavior (like completion rate, unique customer streams, and total hours) to determine which content is resonating with our customers. Content that fails to meet our engagement standards may be subject to removal or other restrictions based on territory and movie category.

We understand you invest a lot in your content and will provide you with visibility across our marketing channels. Unless otherwise indicated, removed titles (or titles not selected for publishing) may not be resubmitted or appealed. All content is selected at the sole discretion of ARISEPLAY MOVIEBOX Team, and we can’t provide additional details on why any specific title was or wasn’t selected for publishing.

Unsupported content types
ARISEPLAY doesn’t accept user-generated content, or other types of video that aren’t normally considered short-form content, feature-length movies or TV shows. Additional content categories that are no longer accepted via ARISEPLAY MOVIEBOX may include (but are not limited to): Product reviews, product unboxing, compilation videos, news segments, vlogs, health videos, toy play, selfie/YouTube video (Tik Tok/reaction videos), slideshows, lectures, videogame play, tutorials, listicles (i.e. top 10 videos), and ambient content.

Category list: You must specify your movie category as part of the submission process. Some of the categories we accept include:

Movies
Your content must be professionally produced containing a storyline with a runtime of 40 minutes or more.

TV shows
(Episodic titles only) Your content must be professionally produced content containing a storyline with episode runtimes that typically exceed 10 minutes.

Short films
Your short film must be professionally produced containing a storyline with a runtime of 20 minutes or less for standalone content or 10 minutes or less for episodes.

Clips
Content that are short in duration (runtime of approximately 10 minutes or less), an excerpt from a longer recording, or a compilation of clips.

Concerts and performances
Content of a performer or group of performers presenting one or more works of art, including live performances.

Educational
Content that is instructional or educational in nature.

Interviews
Content containing one-on-one or one-to-many conversations in a question and answer forum.

Reporting and journalism
Your content must be professionally produced containing informative discussion or opinion related to events, ideas, or individuals.

Sporting events
Content of a broadcast of a rights-approved athletic or sporting events.
